Review: 40 Years Reiteralm
The celebrations for the 40th anniversary of Reiteralm Bergbahnen took place at the Hotel Pichlmayrgut on 18th November, 2011. Many guests of honour were given a warm welcome enjoying the beautiful yet casual atmosphere.
A brief look back: in 1970, a lot of convincing was necessary to build a ski resort on Reiteralm. Sepp Steiner, Siegfried Keinprecht and Rudi Walcher were the visionaries and pioneers, and with a great deal of personal commitment they were able to make their visions come true and to found the company Reiteralm Bergbahnen.
On 21st March, 1971, the very first partners' meeting with 92 partners was held at Pichlmayrgut.
9 months later, after an intense work period, the operating approval was given for the Pichl double chairlift and the Reiteralm II draglift on 21st December, 1971.
Reiteralm is grateful to look back on an ever-growing positive development. Efficient, modern, snow-reliable, and above all, equipped with plenty of personal cordiality, this is how Reiteralm Bergbahnen present themselves today.
Chairman Karl Pitzer warmly welcomed the many guests of honour, in particular the founding partners, the founding managing directors, all active partners and board of directors, as well as the landowners and the long-time staff members of Reiteralm Bergbahnen.
Managing director Mag. Wolfgang Habersatter was also pleased to see that many guests of hounour, a mark of deep attachment to Reiteralm.
"The informal and friendly festivity we have prepared, shows our gratitude and appreciation towards you partners, board of directors, landowners and loyal staff members. Your performance was and still is the basis for our successful company!", said Habersatter in his welcoming speech.
Afterwards, all former board members and all co-workers who have worked at Reiteralm for over 20 years, were honoured.
Chairman Pitzer and managing director Habersatter emphasised with personal words the commitment of each honouree and presented a hand-written certificate to them.
"A seed that was sown 40 years ago, has grown and bears fruit!", said mayor Johann Spielbichler in his welcoming speech. He also cordially congratulated to the 40 years Reiteralm successfully has been in business. Reiteralm Bergbahnen are a leading establishment of the village Pichl-Preunegg.
A Visual Cruise, a film showing selected parts of these 40 years, from the foundation until now, brought a close to the celebrations.
The evening came to an end with great food and drinks as well as musical entertainment at the Pichlmayrgut hotel lounge.
